This tragedy could have been averted if it hadn't been for all those wartime deferments; the Veep might have learned the proper care and handling of weapons!
It's a little known fact that the big Dick and I went to the same high school, just separated by several decades. Yup! Natrona County High School has a nice framed photo of the VP, an indoor rifle range, and a mandatory hunter safety class. Maybe that's new.
Regarding Tamburlaine's criticism about the lack of sportsmanlike behavior on the Veep's part (ie: the shooting of "wingless ducktards"), it's important to remember - it's not about the shooting, it's about the killing.
In Wyoming, I was told stories about his lack of interest in the meat of his kill. He'd rather throw the flesh away and just mount the head.
Because of this, in Wyoming, he not considered a True Sportsman. From today's Casper Star Tribune: "The wildlife department issued a report Monday that found the main factor contributing to the accident was a "hunter's judgment factor." No other secondary factors were found to have played a role."
Born in the wild to Canadian Timberwolves, Fang was wrestled from his mother's teat at an early age and placed in the custody of a government sponsored think tank in New York City. He escaped at age seven by gnawing off a doo-claw and has been riding a wave of self-righteous indignation to Nowheresville, baby, ever since. He is currently enjoying being a PhD (by marriage), but on the advice of his attorney has refused all comment except to assert an apparently deeply-held conviction that frozen strawberries should be thawed, not microwaved.
