Bad parenting made easy

Lesson #8,000,006

I’m pretty sure when The Boy said, “Fucking Christ, it’s gone” this morning while we looked for his missing shoe, it wasn’t his mother (or the nice Indian women who work at his day care place) that he was mimicking.

On the other hand, I’m very pleased that he nailed the pronunciation and emphasis, and even used it in the correct context. As far as bad parenting goes, I’m calling this one a draw.

P-hang:

I haven't seen Dark Knight yet, but enjoyed your review. Wonder what you think about JH Kunstler's take.

To J-in-B (obviously, someone named Jack in the Box):

I basically agree with this guy’s take, except that I didn’t find the movie itself odious; I find the scheming, venal, amoral society it so accurately depicts odious. America in 2008 got the Batman movie we deserved, and it’s a shame, judging by the comments, that this reviewer’s words are gonna keep potential viewers away, assumably with their heads still safely buried in the sand. Or watching the Daily Show, sniggering up their sleeves at how much better they are than the people who are running our society to the brink of oblivion. As if we aren’t a part of them.

“Wake up white people!”

I second what Dowdy said. I'm laughing so loud, I scared the cat!

Reminds me of when my hub was SAHD and Sam, 3, was playing with trains, his back to me, singing, "1-2-3-4" and I thought, "Aww, Jake really is focusing on the academics while I am away." Until Sam continued with, "Snoop Doggy Dog and Dr. Dre is at the door..."

Feel the love,
